This morning we took a look at the first group of our Top 25. This afternoon, we’ll keep it going with five more really solid follows!

There were a lot of results this year that were a bit surprising, but none more than seeing Tara drop down this far. You know I’m a big fan of my Gateway to Baseball Heaven cohost and being an independent contractor in the sports media field means that she’s had a lot worse things happen in 2020, but still, this was a shock. (Then again, she’s in the midst of wedding planning now and probably won’t even see this.) Tara’s talented in many areas, even when I am the one giving her the words.

Since I moved into my new house a year and a half ago, my podcast listening has diminished since I’m commuting two minutes instead of 10 each way to work. So it’s been a while since I’ve been able to tune into Jim and Bengie, but from all accounts they are sailing along continuing to put out a good show. The Two Birds Empire has shuffled a bit over the last year or so, but they still have the flagship show as well as Ruffled Feathers, which features Ron Nuttall. Plenty of chances to listen and this account is a good way to make sure you don’t miss an episode.
Number 18: Moz_Algorithm
I am NOT John Mozeliak. I have as many World Series rings as Tommy Pham. The DH should be in both leagues. Never bunt. Pour one out for the OG @MozAlgorithm
This archaic thought process is so dumb. 🙄 https://t.co/MCprxgoojT

Let there be no doubt; Moz will tell you what he thinks and he doesn’t really care if you agree with him on the topic. It’s a backed up opinion, don’t get me wrong, and you better bring something if you want to challenge it. It’s not just the Cardinals either but many other sports and teams. There are many times where I agree with him, then there will come a Tweet that infuriates me. And really, isn’t that what Twitter is all about?
Number 17: AugieNash
It’s always a Dizzy Dean kind of day for me #CurtFlood4Cooperstown #STLCards #STLBlues
#OTD 1980 – The “Whiteyball” era continues to grow as the Cardinals trade Leon Durham and Ken Reitz to the Cubs for closer Bruce Sutter. In 4 seasons, Sutter would save 127 games – None bigger than game 7 of the 1982 World Series. #STLCards pic.twitter.com/g31LJFJPCz

We reach the 700 level with Mr. Nash here. If you are into Cardinal history, Augie’s another one to be following, regularly putting out “on this day” tweets, which goes along with his deep love for Dizzy Dean. He vanished from Twitter this summer which worried some of us, as he’s dealt with some health issues. Thankfully he’s back at it and we’re the better for it!

Let’s get this out of the way right up front. I’m honestly surprised Zach didn’t jump to the top of the list just because of Archer, the dog he adopted during quarantine and who quantitatively increased the appeal of Zach’s feed. Don’t get me wrong, Zach’s always been a great guy to follow and you’ll get a lot of smart analytical work in between Taylor Swift songs, but adding Archer just took it to another level. Dogs are the best.
That’ll do it for today. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll have two more posts for you!
