We’re starting to get serious now. Lots of great names in this edition that could have easily finished higher–and many have in past years! So let’s see who they are.

A bit of a podcasting section. That’s A Winner is going strong, while the Birds On The Bat show seems to have moved on to various other endeavors. Bengie Molina doing all the home games probably didn’t help! Also there’s the star of (podcast) stage and screen Ben, who gets bragging rights over his podcast partner.

So this is a very interesting little subset. You’ve got a few people that are this high mainly by dint of a lot of ballots. Cardinals_Live tends to have a hot or cold following, no real lukewarm takes. Which is why he’s at 70 but the average is so low. You’ll see that Mark Saxon (and I do hope Mr. Saxon is doing well; that contretemps two years ago is still the most surreal thing that’s happened to me online) and Arch City have similar numbers. Then you have a couple of guys in Blake and Josh that might not have the highest number of ballots, but those that voted for them gave them very high marks. We also have Hayley as the first member of the There Is Crying In Baseball podcast that started this year, along with the show’s account.

Mr. Worthy makes a strong showing in his first year in the Post-Dispatch. I always enjoy it when Alex and I can get together like two middle-aged dads and talk about Ozzie Smith. The cookie lady is much more than baked treats, though those look pretty awesome as well. It was a tough year for Tara and she wasn’t around a lot–I do miss our weekly talks on Gateway. As for Rabe, usually when elderly people fall this hard you worry they broke a hip.
25 more later this afternoon and then we’ll start the deep dive into the Top 25 tomorrow!
