ST. LOUIS, Mo., August 16, 2022– Cardinals Care will hold a special memorabilia sale on Saturday, September 24 from 9 AM – 5 PM at Busch Stadium. The sale will feature a wide variety of Cardinals memorabilia including autographed, unsigned, authenticated, non-authenticated, game-used, team-issued and replica items. All proceeds from the sale benefit Cardinals Care programs including the Redbird Rookies youth baseball/softball program, the Youth Ballfield Program, and the Grant Program which annually supports over 100 organizations that are helping kids in the community.
“We’re excited to open our treasure trove of bats, baseballs, jerseys, pants, photos and more to Cardinals fans during this exclusive sale,” said Michael Hall, Vice President of Community Relations & Executive Director of Cardinals Care. “Circumstances over the past two years have prevented us from hosting our usual fundraisers, so this sale will provide much needed support for Cardinals Care in its mission of caring for kids.”
The event is free and open to the public but attendees must register for timed entry tickets. Registration for the sale opens at 9 AM CT on Monday, August 22. A limited number of Early Bird entry passes are available for a $25 donation to Cardinals Care. Visit cardinals.com/cardinalscaresale to register.
About Cardinals Care
Cardinals Care was established to give fans a way to team up with Cardinals players and the organization to help children in our community—both on and off the baseball field. Established in 1997, Cardinals Care has invested over $29 million to support St. Louis area children, built or renovated 24 youth ball fields in local under-resourced neighborhoods, and distributed over $15 million in grants to nonprofit organizations. Since 2004, Cardinals Care has also orchestrated the innovative Redbird Rookies program, a free co-ed baseball/softball league for kids who otherwise might not have the opportunity to play. In addition to providing all the uniforms, gloves, bats, balls and other equipment needed for each team, Redbird Rookies also provides extensive off-field support in the areas of health, education, mentoring and the cultural arts for each of the nearly 2,500 kids who participate in the program each year.
