2016 Cardinals Yearbook Celebrates Classic Photos In Cardinals History

Which Cardinals photo sits atop your stack of all-time favorites?  Is it David Freese walking-off Game 6 of the 2011 World Series with a homer and helmet spike just before the stroke of midnight?  Maybe it’s Waino’s and Yadi’s midair embrace after the last out of the 2006 World Series?  Or perhaps it’s Ray Lankford trucking Darren Daulton in one of the biggest collisions at home plate?

Whatever your photo favorite, the 2016 Cardinals Yearbook will have it in its anthology of the most treasured Cardinals images ever assembled in one volume with the appropriately titled “Famous Frames: Classic Photos From Cardinals History.”

As the centerpiece of the Yearbook, this photo collection brings together page after page of iconic imagery through the lens of baseball’s finest photographs.  But it’s much more than a stunning visual feast—it also presents the stories behind the photographs, as told by Cardinals legends that were focal points of the photos, and personal insight from the photographers who were capturing it.  Of course, with more than 60 pages of action photos and studio portraits of every member of the 2016 team, this year’s edition is a must-have keepsake for yourself, or as a gift for the upcoming holiday season.

Pick up the 2016 Yearbook at Busch Stadium inside each gate from Cardinals Publications vendors, team store locations and Cardinals Authentics shops, as well as St. Louis area retailers and grocers.  It’s also available by visiting cardinals.com/yearbook or calling 314-345-9000.

Cardinals in the Community

Cardinals Care (#CardsCare) was established to give fans a way of teaming up with Cardinals players and the organization to help children in our community—both on and off the baseball field.  Since it was established in 1997, Cardinals Care has distributed over $21 million to support St. Louis area non-profit youth organizations and built 22 youth ball fields in local under-resourced neighborhoods.

This year marks the 13th year of Cardinals Care’s innovative Redbird Rookies program, a free baseball league for kids who otherwise might not have the opportunity to play.  In addition to providing all the uniforms, gloves, bats, balls and other equipment needed for each team, Redbird Rookies also provides extensive off-field support in the areas of health, education, mentoring and the cultural arts for each of the nearly 4,500 kids who participate in the program each year.

Fans can learn how to support Cardinals Care by visiting cardinals.com/community.
