LEFTY JAIME GARCIA PLACED ON 15-DAY DISABLED LIST
JUPITER, Fla., March 30, 2015 – The St. Louis Cardinals continued updates to their roster today, announcing that they have purchased the contract of right-handed pitcher Carlos Villaneva. The team also announced that it has placed left-handed pitcher Jaime Garcia (left shoulder) on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 27.
Today’s moves put the number of players on the team’s 40-man roster at 29 and the team now has 32 active players remaining in Major League camp.
