Former GM Dan O’Dowd Joins MLB Network as Studio Analyst, Premiering on 30 Clubs in 30 Days

February 18, 2015 – With pitchers and catchers reporting this week, MLB Network is set to extensively cover Spring Training with more than 200 Spring Training games and the return of 30 Clubs in 30 Days.

MLB Network will air live baseball every day from Tuesday, March 3 through Saturday, April 4, with each club featured in at least one live game, beginning with the Pittsburgh Pirates visiting the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday, March 3 at 1:00 p.m. ET. The Cardinals at New York Mets Spring Training matchup on Wednesday, April 1  at 1:00 p.m. ET will be available live on MLB Network in the Cardinals’ television market. MLB Network’s Spring Training series 30 Clubs in 30 Days returns this year with the Cardinals featured on MLB Tonight on Thursday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. ET30 Clubs in 30 Days will feature MLB Network analysts Eric ByrnesSean Casey, Al Leiter, Joe Magrane, Dan Plesac and Harold Reynolds traveling to each camp to provide analysis and predictions on the coming season, and conduct interviews and on-field demonstrations with players and managers from each club. MLB Network will keep fans updated through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter by posting photos, videos, quotes and information from its Spring Training coverage.

After serving as a guest analyst during MLB Network’s Winter Meetings coverage this past December in San Diego, longtime Colorado Rockies General Manager Dan O’Dowd has joined MLB Network’s roster of on-air talent as a studio analyst. O’Dowd, who guided the Rockies to a World Series appearance in 2007 and a Postseason appearance in 2009, will be part of MLB Network’s 30 Clubs in 30 Days coverage beginning on Tuesday, March 3.

Extended content captured during 30 Clubs in 30 Days will be made available through video on demand with distributors nationwide including AT&T U-verse, Cablevision, Comcast, Cox, and Verizon FiOS, as well as at MLBNetwork.com. Each Spring Training game aired on MLB Network will be a carriage of local telecasts, including local announcers, and blacked out in each club’s home market unless otherwise noted.
