St. Louis Cardinals To Bell Ring At The Salvation Army Kettle Tomorrow

St. Louis, Mo., December 5, 2014 – Players from The St. Louis Cardinals along with mascot Fredbird and Team Fredbird are scheduled to bell ring at The Salvation Army kettle at the Richmond Heights Schnucks Market at 6600 Clayton Road from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 11. The Tree of Lights campaign, in its 67th year, is a major source of funding for the dozens of programs and services The Salvation Army provides year-round throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Last year, The Salvation Army provided 35,719 meals to hungry men, women and children, 93,248 nights of shelter to the community’s homeless, 35,533 food pantry boxes to families in need, and 54,096 Christmas toys and gifts in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Across Missouri and Southern Illinois, The Salvation Army provided 453,502 meals to hungry men, women and children, 178,715 nights of shelter to the community’s homeless, 94,985 food pantry boxes to families in need, and 139,779 Christmas toys and gifts.
