31st Tournament to Be Held at Whitmoor Country Club on July 31
ST. LOUIS, Mo., March 1, 2023– Registration is underway for the 31st Cardinals Ted Savage RBI Golf Classic scheduled for Monday, July 31, at Whitmoor Country Club with a 10 AM shotgun start. The tournament will feature Cardinals alumni, but more importantly it will be a fun day filled with golf and giving back in honor of the late former player and front office executive Ted Savage.
Savage started the golf tournament in 1990 to help kids in our community who participate in the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program. To date, Cardinals Care has donated over half a million dollars to the program through the support of the Ted Savage RBI Golf Classic.
“The Ted Savage RBI Golf Classic is one of Cardinals Care’s premier charity events,” said Michael Hall, Vice President of Community Relations and Executive Director of Cardinals Care. “This year’s event will be extra special as we gather to celebrate Ted’s legacy and raise money for young people in our community.”
The RBI Golf Classic will be intimate with a limited number of foursomes available, and will feature a round of golf at Whitmoor Country Club with a Cardinals celebrity joining each foursome. The cost per foursome is $3,000. The registration fee includes continental breakfast and on-course refreshments, post-golf cocktails with heavy hors d’oeuvres, and an opportunity to mingle with Cardinals celebrities. Additionally, each attendee will receive a Golf Swag Bag with multiple options to choose from. Prizes will be given for first through third place teams, Men’s and Women’s Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin contests.
Cardinals celebrities scheduled to take part in the event include Jason Isringhausen, Brian Jordan, Ray King, Ray Lankford, and many more. Fans are encouraged to check cardinals.com/rbigolf regularly as more celebrities will be added.
