Team’s 26th Season at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium Includes 15 Home Games;
29-Game Spring Slate to Run From Saturday, February 25—Sunday, March 26
ST. LOUIS, Mo., August 31, 2022–The St. Louis Cardinals, in conjunction with Major League Baseball’s league-wide release, today announced their 2023 Spring Training schedule. The team’s 29-game Spring Training slate is set to begin on Saturday, February 25 when the Cardinals host the Washington Nationals at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.
The Cardinals 2023 Spring schedule features 15 home dates and 14 road games, including three games as the visiting team against stadium co-tenants Miami Marlins (Feb. 26, March 17 & 22), giving them 18 total games at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. The Cardinals and Marlins will play a total of six games next spring.
The Cardinals will host six different Grapefruit League opponents in 2023, including home games against the Detroit Tigers (March 18) and New York Yankees (March 23). The club will also host three games with the Marlins, Nationals, Houston Astros, and New York Mets. Additionally, the Cardinals will host an exhibition game against a to-be-determined World Baseball Classic national team from Pool D on Thursday, March 9, at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. The 2023 World Baseball Classic will run from March 8-21.
The Redbirds will travel to Lakeland to face the Detroit Tigers at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium on Tuesday, March 7, followed by a game against the New York Yankees at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa on Wednesday, March 8.
The Cardinals will play at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium on five weekend dates (Feb. 25, March 5, 12, 18 & 25). Additionally, the team’s spring schedule features a split-squad date featuring home and away games on Saturday, March 25 versus Miami and at the New York Mets.
The Cardinals will break camp on Sunday, March 26, following their game against Houston and will open their regular season schedule on Thursday, March 30, vs. Toronto in St. Louis. The 2023 spring slate will mark the 26th year that the Cardinals will train at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter, Florida.
