Cardinals Activate Harrison Bader from IL

PITCHER DANIEL PONCE de LEON OPTIONED TO MEMPHIS (AAA)

ST. LOUIS, MO, April 24, 2019 –The St. Louis Cardinals announced prior to today’s series finale that they have activated outfielder Harrison Bader (right hamstring strain) from the 10-day Injured List and optioned right-handed pitcher Daniel Ponce de Leon to Memphis (AAA).

Bader, whose injury was back-dated to April 14, was batting .179 (7-for-39) with 2 HR’s and 5 RBI in his 13 games played to begin the season.   Ponce de Leon fanned seven in 5.0 innings pitched last night in his start against Milwaukee.
