Cardinals Museum Debuts Augmented Reality Experience

Museum Artifacts enhanced with AR Technology will bring Cardinals History to Life

ST. LOUIS, Mo., September 27, 2018– The St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum is debuting an augmented reality experience for select artifacts throughout the museum. Fans will enjoy an enhanced trip through Cardinals History in the museum by using this unique technology powered by Major League Baseball’s Ballpark App.

Fans can access the interactive experience by downloading the Ballpark App at cardinals.com/ballpark. After launching the Busch Stadium Ballpark App, fans can use the camera on their smart phone to relive some of the most exciting moments from Cardinals History, including highlights from Sportsman’s Park, Lou Brock’s base stealing record and Jim Edmond’s 2004 NLCS Home Run, to name a few.

“The augmented reality experience is another way our patrons can interact with the rich history of St. Louis Cardinals baseball,“ said Paula Homan, Museum Curator. “Using the MLB Ballpark APP, fans will have the opportunity to relive the moments that made these select artifacts part of our team’s storied history.”

The Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum, which boasts one of the largest team-specific collections of artifacts and memorabilia in the world, is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  The Museum remains open through the 7th inning on home game nights.
