Cardinals Cupcake available all season, will benefit youth outreach efforts of Cardinals Care
(June 26, 2015 — St. Louis, Missouri) Go crazy, folks! The Cup is delighted to announce its brand new partnership with the St. Louis Cardinals and Cardinals Care, and honored to say that one of its signature cupcakes has been named the favorite cupcake of both organizations.
The Cardinals Cupcake (known previously as the Rally Cup) features swirled French vanilla and red velvet cake, frosted with vanilla buttercream and adorned with red and white sprinkles, plus a Cardinals’ logoed topper.
“We are so excited to be partnering with the Cardinals,” The Cup co-owner Ericka Frank says. “It is a great honor for us to be a part of St. Louis’ amazing baseball tradition.”
Cardinals Cupcake — available at The Cup’s Central West End, Chesterfield and Edwardsville, Illinois, locations — will benefit Cardinals Care, the team’s community outreach program committed to supporting youth in and around St. Louis.
“Not only is it a huge honor for us to be partnering with the Cardinals, it is also an incredible gift for us to be able to work with an organization that shares our commitment to giving back to our local community,” Franks says. “Baking a difference — our company’s commitment to benevolent giving — is something we take a lot of pride in, and we’re happy we’re able to use our cupcakes to support both our hometown and the home team!”
The Cup extends its gratitude to Michael Hall, Cardinals VP of Community Relations and Executive Director of Cardinals Care; Mark Taylor, the Cardinals director of Community Relations; and Keith Brooks, Director of Cardinals Care and Youth Baseball Commissioner, for making this partnership possible.
“We are looking forward to our partnership with The Cup, and the opportunity to unite with a great local business that clearly understands the importance of making community involvement a part of its culture,” Hall says. “They’ve shown a lot of spirit already and so we’re excited to share this delicious cupcake with the rest of Cardinal Nation.”
The Cardinals Cupcake will be for sale throughout the Cardinals’ regular season and any of the team’s postseason play. For more information about its availability, visit www.cravethecup.com.

About Cardinals Care
Cardinals Care was established to give fans a way of teaming up with Cardinals players and the organization to help children in our community – both on and off the baseball field.
Since it was established in 1997, Cardinals Care has distributed nearly $21 million to support St. Louis area non-profit youth organizations and built 22 youth ball fields in local disadvantaged neighborhoods. 2015 marks the 12th year of Cardinals Care’s innovative Redbird Rookies program, a free baseball league for kids who otherwise might not have the opportunity to play.
In addition to providing all the uniforms, gloves, bats, balls and other equipment needed for each team, Redbird Rookies also provides extensive off-field support in the areas of health, education, mentoring and the cultural arts for each of the nearly 4,500 kids who participate in the program each year
