Kurt Warner To Headline 2015 Christian Day at the Ballpark

Former Rams Quarterback and Super Bowl XXXIV MVP will serve as keynote speaker for July 19 postgame event

           ST. LOUIS, May 13, 2015 – The St. Louis Cardinals have announced details for the 25th Annual Christian Day at the Ballpark onSunday, July 19, which features a postgame program with keynote speaker Kurt Warner, former St. Louis Rams Quarterback, Super Bowl XXXIV MVP and two-time NFL Most Valuable Player.

Christian Day at the Ballpark is a day of faith, fellowship and baseball, which begins when the Cardinals take on the New York Mets at 1:15 p.m.

As part of the day’s festivities, 25,000 ticketed-fans, ages 16 and older, will receive an STL V-neck T-shirt at the gates; no special ticket is required. The one-of-a-kind shirt in throwback Rams colors features Kurt Warner’s name and number on the back.

Following the game, all fans are encouraged to stay for a special postgame program emceed by broadcaster Rick Horton featuring Warner and Cardinals players sharing their testimonies in faith. A popular event every season, past Christian Day events have included speakers such as Willie Robertson, Lou Brock, Mike Singletary, Marcus Luttrell, Tony Dungy, Mike Matheny and Adam Wainwright.

“Christian Day is a wonderful day of faith and baseball that we look forward to every summer. This year we are extremely honored to have Kurt Warner joining us at Busch Stadium to share his incredible story,” said Joe Strohm, Vice President of Ticket Sales.

Kurt Warner played for the St. Louis Rams from 1999-2003 and led the Rams to a Super Bowl victory over the Tennessee Titans in 1999. Warner played a total of 12 seasons in the NFL and was named the league’s Most Valuable Player twice. Currently an analyst for the NFL Network, Warner is also the founder of the First Things First Foundation, a non-profit public charity dedicated to impacting lives by promoting Christian values, sharing experiences, and providing opportunities to encourage everyone that all things are possible when people seek to put first things first.
