This is the very last regular season game for any of the Cardinals minor-league affiliates, and really it’s only State College left before the NY-Penn League playoffs start Friday. So we will start our #SpikeSpot on Friday. But for now, let’s enjoy our last “Barnyard Dance,” shall we?
State College Spikes (A): Lost 9-4 to Jamestown
Luke Voit had another nice game, going 2-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Michael Schulze added the other RBI for the Spikes and Cesar Valera scored twice. Willy Paulino started for SC and only went three innings, giving up four runs. Not much relief after him, as Michael Aldrete got rocked for four runs as well. Paulino took the loss, and the Spikes couldn’t keep their winning ways through the last game of the season.
But the important part is that State College is in the playoffs and we at Cards Conclave wish the Spikes the very best of luck in the NY-Penn playoffs!
As always, PREACH ON, my friends! Thanks for a fun season. Stay tuned Friday for the start of #SpikeSpot!
