Cardinals Sign Outfielder Corey Dickerson

LEFT-HANDED HITTING VETERAN HAS BEEN ALL-STAR & GOLD GLOVER DURING 9-YEAR CAREER

ST. LOUIS, MO., March 18, 2022–The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have signed free-agent outfielder Corey Dickerson to a one-year contract for the 2022 season. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Dickerson, 32, has played for Colorado (2013-15), Tampa (2016-17), Pittsburgh (2018-19), Philadelphia (2019), Miami (2020-21), and Toronto (2021) during his nine-year career.

The left-handed-hitting Dickerson batted a combined .271 (91-336) with 18 doubles, six home runs and 29 RBI in 109 games between Miami and Toronto last season.  He has slashed .283/.327/.488 with 128 home runs, 376 extra-base hits and 416 RBI in 937 career games.

Dickerson owns a .845 OPS against right-handed pitching over his career and was named an All-Star in 2017 while playing for Tampa Bay.  He won a Rawlings Gold Glove Award in 2018 with Pittsburgh as the best defensive left fielder in the National League, finishing the season with 16 Defensive Runs Saved and 10 Outs Above Average.

Dickerson will wear uniform No. 25.
