Cards Opener Generates Big Rating On FOX Sports Midwest

The Cardinals’ win at Cincinnati on Monday was the highest-rated opening day road game ever on FOX Sports Midwest.

It generated an 11.1 household rating in the St. Louis DMA, according to Nielsen Media Research. That’s up 8 percent from last year’s prime time opener at Arizona (10.3).

Cardinals-Reds was the most-watched program Monday in St. Louis. It peaked at a 13.9 rating/24 share/174,000 households at game’s end from 6 to 6:15.

Cardinals Live pregame show, the first broadcast from FOX Sports Midwest’s new studio at Ballpark Village in downtown St. Louis, was the top-rated program in St. Louis from 2 to 3 p.m.

The Cardinals-Reds series resumes Wednesday at 6 p.m. (5:30 pregame) on FOX Sports Midwest.
