Cardinals Museum To Host Special Event with Bill DeWitt III on July 9

“Talking the Business of Baseball with Bill DeWitt III” features Q&A along with dinner, cocktails & private Museum look

ST. LOUIS, Mo., June 17, 2016 – The St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum will host an exclusive event entitled “Talking the Business of Baseball with Bill DeWitt III” on Saturday, July 9, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

As part of the event, guests will experience a private, after-hours look at the Cardinals Museum with cocktails before enjoying a dinner buffet in the AT&T Rooftop.  The dinner will be followed by a 60-minute Q&A session with Cardinals’ President Bill DeWitt III and KMOX broadcaster Mike Claiborne in which Mr. DeWitt will share his thoughts on the organization’s rich history, his family’s 20 years of club ownership and his vision for the franchise’s future.

“This unique event gives our fans the opportunity to learn about the Cardinals organization’s efforts both on and off the field,” said Brian Finch, Manager of Stadium Tours & Museum Outreach.  “Additionally, the intimate setting and personal nature of this event offers guests a truly memorable experience to share alongside our team President.”

In addition to the program, fans that purchase a ticket will receive a copy of the official Cardinals Museum book, Redbird Relics, autographed by DeWitt III, Cardinals Chairman and CEO Bill DeWitt Jr. and the book’s author, Brian Finch.

Since being named President of the St. Louis Cardinals in March 2008, Mr. DeWitt has overseen all aspects of the business of the team and its affiliated entities, including the Memphis Redbirds, Springfield Cardinals, Palm Beach Cardinals, FOX Sports Midwest and Ballpark Village.  He oversaw the design and construction of the new Busch Stadium, led the effort on the development of Ballpark Village, and has been involved in numerous merchandising, marketing and operational projects for the team since the current ownership group acquired the team in 1996.

A limited number of tickets are on sale now for the exclusive event for $90 ($80 for museum members).  To purchase tickets or for more information, visit cardinals.com/dewitt.
