Two areas that the Cardinals usually hit pretty hard are both that have avoided attention until the 8th round. In taking Ian Oxnevad, the first high school LHP has gone to St. Louis with two picks left on the day.
The Cards have placed Matt Holliday on the 15-day DL and brought back up Miguel Socolovich, most likely due to the heavy bullpen use from last night. We’ll see if later in the week a bat is brought up.
