Live Music Venue ‘The Barn’ To Join PBR St. Louis in Ballpark Village

The Barn at PBR St. Louis will enhance the great live music tradition that PBR venues are renowned for nationally

ST. LOUIS, MO (February 12, 2014) – The St. Louis Cardinals, The Cordish Companies and PBR (Professional Bull Riders, Inc.) announced today that PBR St. Louis will expand and add a new component to their brand with The Barn at PBR St. Louis, opening at Ballpark Village this Spring.

A live music joint, The Barn will be located inside PBR St. Louis and will continue the great live music tradition PBR venues have become known for around the United States. It will feature the best local, regional and national entertainment on a nightly basis. The intimate setting will feature a stage in front of the grand stone fireplace, state-of-the-art sound and cathedral ceilings exemplifying a chic but rustic barn feel. The Barn will share a 70 foot island bar with PBR and will embark floor to ceiling windows with Arch and city skyline views.

“We are excited about the growth of the PBR brand in the entertainment industry,” Sean Gleason, Chief Operating Officer of the PBR said. “The addition of The Barn for live music just raised the bar to an even higher level.”

The Barn at PBR St. Louis announcement at Ballpark Village coincides with the return of the PBR’s elite Built Ford Tough Series to St. Louis. On Feb. 15 -17, the world’s Top 35 bull riders ride into Scottrade Center for the Cooper Tires presents  Kawasaki Invitational. It’s the 16th time the PBR has visited St. Louis.

“St. Louis has always been a great market for the PBR,” said Gleason. “The fans are enthusiastic and the city always buzzes with excitement about the event. We’re looking forward to our return to the Scottrade Center.”

The first PBR location opened its doors in 2008 at the Power & Light District in Kansas City, MO and has since launched venues in Baltimore, MD; Houston, TX; Hampton, VA; Philadelphia, PA; and Louisville, KY making PBR one of the hottest and fastest growing concepts in the country. PBR St. Louis takes this design to a new level and promises to be an eclectic combination of “cowboy cool” meets “urban chic,” spanning 10,000 square feet.

Ballpark Village (#BallparkVillage)

The construction of Ballpark Village represents the next step in the Cardinals’ vision for their investment in downtown St. Louis that began with the opening of the privately financed, $411 million Busch Stadium in 2006. Ballpark Village is a mixed-use retail, entertainment, office, and residential district being developed in partnership by the St. Louis Cardinals and the Cordish Companies. Spanning seven city blocks on the 10-acre site just north of Busch Stadium, Ballpark Village will be the first master-planned mixed-use development designed to complement the excitement and energy of the Major League Baseball game day experience to a new neighborhood outside the stadium walls.  For more information about Ballpark Village, go tocardinals.com/bpv or www.stlballparkvillage.com.
