With Memphis missing the playoffs, the Cards promoted Audry Perez (C), Brock Peterson and much-discussed Ryan Jackson this afternoon. This allows Tony Cruz to continue to heal and perhaps we’ll see Jackson at shortstop, but obviously there are no guarantees.
As expected, the Cards have promoted Michael Wacha (which is good since he’s starting tonight), Carlos Martinez and Tyler Lyons for the stretch run.
